The fourth round of the 2024 European Le Mans Series saw Eurointernational once again proving its competitiveness in the LMP3 class. The team, led by Antonio Ferrari and fielding the #11 Ligier JS P320 driven by Ian Aguilera and Fabien Michal, showed strong pace from the very first free practice sessions.
Qualifying was affected by a sudden and intense thunderstorm, but Aguilera managed to master the tricky conditions and secured a remarkable second place on the grid for the black Ligier.
The race itself got underway under sunny skies, though the weather remained somewhat unpredictable. Eurointernational’s strategy and race pace suggested they had all the right ingredients to fight for victory. However, an issue with the drinking system and a problem with one of the doors forced the team to make unscheduled pit stops. Despite this setback, Aguilera and Michal fought back and crossed the finish line in a well-earned third place — a result that confirms the team’s strong form.
The European Le Mans Series will return to action at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit (Belgium) for round five, scheduled for the weekend of August 22–24.
