The last round of 2015 Italian Sport Prototype Championship has been epic for Eurointernational and Giorgio Mondini: the italian-swiss driver, on Ligier JS53 Evo 2 E, wins both races in Varano De’ Melegari outclass their opponents. Just after the win in Race 1, Giorgio Mondini sealed the championship one Race before the end: started from pole position, he took the leadership during the first lap keeping it till the chequered flag and the same thing happened in Race 2.
Antonio Ferrari (Eurointernational Team Manager): “I’m really really happy for this result: for me, Giorgio and all guys it’s fantastic to come back on top of the podium. We started the programme in late June, developing the car race by race, every time in the right way; the had the opportunity after Misano to compare our car with others in Magny-Cours and this has been the best proof of our job on this Ligier JS 53 Evo 2, that is very goofd but we have been able to make it more and more competitive. Giorgio did a fantastic job during the all season and we are really delighted to have got this trophy with him. Now our plan is to start with a testing programme on our Ligier LMP3 cars in order to prepare in the best way our 2016 racing season.“
